The Inspection Department reviews plans for new and remodel construction of residential and commercial structures. Our office issues building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and signage permits.
Our inspectors ensure new and remodel construction meets all applicable city codes and regulations. This involves inspecting work in progress in the field for conformity with approved plans and the following codes:
- Building
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Mechanical
Safety and code compliance is the primary function of the inspectors. New and remodeled construction is typically checked several times during various phases of construction to ensure construction is proceeding according to code. In addition, inspectors ensure the city's site management requirements are met.
We also ensure all signs, permanent and temporary banners, and portable signs, are permitted and meet our city's sign ordinance.
